I’ve grown to love the surprise and unpredictability of shino glazes as well as the ability to manipulate them for specific effects. Some of my surface designs are influenced from batik prints and most by sheer accident. My work is simple. I primarily make functional pots that are intended to be used everyday.
I find making pots meditative, giving me the opportunity to think in a different way.
