I am inspired by the tradition of functionality, and it’s this aesthetic which informs all of my pots: the mug that comfortably fits the hand and lip; the bowl that perfectly accommodates a scoop of ice cream; the vase that demurely displays your flowers to best advantage. The freedom at Seward Park Clay Studio allows me to explore various approaches to creating and I learn as much from failed approaches as successes.
