Is a non-profit ceramic arts organization located in Seattle, Washington. We offer handbuilding and wheel classes, master classes and workshops by regional and nationally-recognized artists, and studio space for artists. We maintain close ties to the community through outreach programs.
Eric Newman, one of our long-term resident artists has organized a fundraiser for the studio. He encouraged collaborations between resident artists, board members and staff for 7 table place settings.
Groups of 2 or 3 artists each made a place setting consisting of a plate, bowl, and cup. Decisions of what made a trio of pots a coherent place setting were left up to each group. It could be as simple as using the same glaze but maintaining individual styles, choosing a repeating color scheme, or using similar imagery and technique.
Bidding is in increments of $25, with a minimum bid of $50. $250 gets you the guaranteed bid on any setting. All funds support the studio. The artists had a welcome break from the isolation mandated by health concerns and we welcome your participation in their creative endeavors. Bidding will conclude on December 12 at 5pm.
If you win the bid, we will contact you to find out how you would like to receive your pots. If you live locally we can arrange pick up or delivery. If you don’t live in Seattle, we can arrange to pack and ship at your expense.
